SMRadio Privacy Policy
SMRadio is an Android audio app for streaming and downloading old-time radio and audio-drama programs. No SMRadio account is required.
Information stored on your device
Favorites, listening history, ratings, resume positions, custom stations, imported catalog items, settings, and downloaded audio are stored locally on your device. Android backup or device-transfer features may copy eligible app data to services controlled by your Android device and Google account settings.
Network requests and third-party content
SMRadio connects directly to the Internet Archive, podcast hosting providers, and other content hosts to retrieve metadata and stream or download audio. Those providers receive ordinary network information such as your IP address, device/browser request information, and the requested URL. Their own privacy policies govern their handling of that information.
Advertising
Google Play builds of SMRadio may display banner and app-open advertising through Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process information including:
- IP address and approximate location derived from it;
- device or other identifiers, including the Android advertising ID where available;
- advertising interactions and app interaction information; and
- diagnostic information used for advertising, analytics, security, and fraud prevention.
Google explains its practices in the Google Privacy Policy and Advertising policies and technologies. Where required, SMRadio requests consent or presents privacy choices before requesting ads.
What American2Day does not collect
American2Day does not operate an SMRadio account server and does not receive your listening history, favorites, ratings, resume positions, custom stations, or downloaded audio. SMRadio does not include a separate first-party analytics service.
Retention and deletion
You can remove local listening data and downloads using SMRadio's controls, Android's app-data controls, or by uninstalling the app. Backup copies are governed by your Android backup settings. Information processed by third-party content providers or Google is retained according to those providers' policies.
Children
SMRadio is not designed for children under 13 and is not marketed as a children's app.
Security and changes
SMRadio uses HTTPS where supported by the content or advertising provider. This policy may be updated when the app, its advertising configuration, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
